ABOUT THE FILM

The documentary is set at the Hollywood Hills home of former Food Network Host and cookbook author Bob Blumer. The short explores the power of music in film with Cary Brothers, one of the most licensed singer-songwriters in film and television today, while celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Grammy-winning soundtrack from Garden State.

Brothers reveals insight into the effect the placement of his song Blue Eyes in the Garden State soundtrack had on his career.

Along with helping Blumer prep the evening’s Surreal Menu, Brothers performs songs from Blumer’s rooftop with the iconic Hollywood sign as a backdrop. Hits include Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You (Smallville), Ride (Grey’s Anatomy), and, of course, Blue Eyes (Garden State).
