  • Priest Ranch Sauvignon Blanc—Bring on the citrus! Our Sauvignon Blanc boasts beautiful citrus notes with balanced acidity, making it the cheese’s favorite companion.

Move into something elegant:

  • Priest Ranch Peacemaker Red Blend—Food friendly, full-bodied, layered, and expressive of our terroir. Peacemaker’s blend brings to life how versatile red wine can be with a specially crafted blend vintage after vintage to not only highlight our terroir, but also what was happening throughout the growing season.

Finish strong:

  • Priest Ranch Snake Oil—our guest and team favorite vintage after vintage, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon blended from winemaker-selected blocks from our Estate.
  • Priest Ranch James Joshua Red Wine—one of the newest wines in our portfolio, and it is named after our original owner, James Joshua Priest. This wine is the pinnacle of our collection of estate-grown wines, giving in-depth expressions of our terroir through limited-production and highly sought-after vineyard blocks.

  • Add vineyard-inspired touches: olive branches, fresh herbs, and if you want to light candles, ensure they’re mildly scented so as not to overpower the wines
  • Soft music and ambient lighting go a long way in setting the tone

At Priest Ranch, we believe wine is best when it’s shared and savored. Your host will guide you through the process of assessing wine, which is very approachable and can be broken down into these simple steps:

  • Look at the color
  • Swirl the wine in your glass to open up the aromas
  • Smell the aromas from the top, middle, and bottom of the opening of the glass
  • Sip, but always evaluate the wine with the second or third sip as your palate will be coated in the wine and allow you to pick up on the nuances without influence from the last wine or last bite of food
  • Share what you think! Invite everyone to describe what they’re tasting — there are no wrong answers.
