A winter season delight—our Maple-Glazed Brussel Sprouts are sure to be a hit! With a delicious balance of sweet and savory, your guests are going to go back for seconds (possibly thirds) so plan accordingly!
Ingredients
- 1 ounce of Grape Seed Oil
- 2 lbs Brussels Sprouts, Trimmed, Halved
- 4 ounces Maple Syrup
- 2 TBSP Butter
- Kosher Salt & Black Pepper
- 1/4 cup Toasted Pecans (optional)
Directions
-
Set a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil
-
When oil begins to smoke, carefully add the Brussels sprouts, cut side down (as best as you can, doesn’t have to be perfect)
-
Season with Kosher salt and pepper and allow to cook, undisturbed, for 2-4 minutes, until the sprouts have gotten a deep caramelization
-
Toss the sprouts and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for an additional 3-5 minutes, until they are tender but still have a bite (al dente)
-
Remove the pan from the heat, then add the maple syrup, butter, and 2 tablespoons of water
-
Stir until all the sprouts are nicely glazed
-
Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed
-
Then, transfer the mixture to a serving dish and sprinkle with pecans, if using
-
Serve immediately.
