The Last Taste of Summer
Some of the best meals aren’t planned months in advance.
They’re the spontaneous dinners that stretch into sunset. For many, the family fish fry becomes an annual tradition. It’s the gathering where friends stay long after the plates have been cleared.
As summer begins its slow farewell, we’ve gathered everything you need to savor one more unforgettable evening. Estate Chef Cameron Bouldin has created recipes inspired by classic fish fry traditions, elevated with bold flavors and thoughtful ingredients that pair beautifully with Priest Ranch wines.
Whether you’re serving fresh-caught fish, topping popcorn for movie night, or sipping peach iced tea on the patio, this month’s Provisions Box is designed to celebrate the simple moments that make summer memorable.
Here’s to one last golden hour. #LiveLifeDeliciously

“IT’S JUST FOOD”
It’s a simple philosophy, but for Estate Chef Cameron Bouldin, those three words capture everything he loves about cooking. Food should be approachable, shared, and above all, enjoyed.
This month, we’re excited to introduce the chef behind these Provisions Box recipes and the creative force helping shape the culinary experience at The Kitchen at Priest Ranch.
Although he now leads the Estate kitchen, Cameron never planned to become a chef. After spending twelve whole years in the telecommunications industry, cooking was simply a way to unwind. Weekends often meant firing up the smoker, tending the barbecue, or cooking over an open flame for family and friends.
THEN HE TOOK A LEAP OF FAITH
Starting as a dishwasher and prep cook, Cameron quickly discovered a passion for professional kitchens. His first opportunity at Oenotri in Napa exposed him to new techniques, ingredients, and a fast-paced culinary environment, helping launch his career. Just a few years later, despite having no formal culinary training, he earned his first Executive Chef role, opened restaurants, built a successful catering business, and worked alongside acclaimed Michelin-starred and celebrity chefs.
Today, Cameron brings that same curiosity and humility to Priest Ranch.
Drawn to the property’s beauty, the estate’s vision, and a team whose longevity spoke volumes about the culture, he saw an opportunity to create something special.
HIS APPROACH IS ROOTED IN BALANCE
“I want the food to be elegant, but still very approachable,” Cameron says. “In a place like Napa Valley, where culinary standards are incredibly high, it’s about creating something different that people genuinely enjoy.”
That philosophy comes to life in every menu and each of these Provision Box recipes. Inspiration might come from the changing seasons, a favorite ingredient, or simply a craving that sparks a new idea. But one passion remains constant: cooking over an open fire.
“It’s something I’ve been doing my whole life,” he says. “Barbecue, smoking, cooking over live fire—that’s where I feel most at home.”
When he’s leading the kitchen, Cameron believes the best teams are built on trust, respect, and leading by example. And when guests visit The Kitchen at Priest Ranch, his hope is simple: “I want everyone to feel welcomed into the family culture we’ve built here.”

Cheesy Garlic Crab Bread
Serve this on its own or alongside fried fish for a dish that won’t disappoint.
Sweet jumbo lump crab, roasted garlic, creamy cheese, and Brown Butter Parmesan come together on crusty Italian bread. Baked until golden and bubbling, it’s an irresistible dish made for tearing, sharing, and going back for one more piece.
Don’t forget a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc or Grenache Blanc to complete the flavors.
